The Controller uses the following categories of cookies: necessary, functional, analytical, performance and advertising cookies, including social media cookies.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files installed on the User’s device. Cookies collect information that makes it easier to use a website, for example by remembering information about the User, such as login details or language preferences. The controller of the data processed in connection with the use of cookies is DARCON B.V. The Website uses first-party cookies, which are installed directly by the Website. Third-party cookies are also used. These are cookies originating from a domain other than the domain of the website being visited and are used primarily for the Controller’s analytical and advertising activities.
HOW ARE COOKIES USED ON OUR WEBSITE?
The Website uses cookies primarily to ensure the proper functioning of the website and to remember the User’s choices on the Website. Where the User has provided the appropriate consent, cookies are also used to analyse and track traffic on the Website and to tailor advertising content to the User’s interests. Within the Website, and based on the consent obtained, cookies enabling the use of social media functionalities are also installed.
1. Necessary cookies
• The Controller’s use of necessary cookies is required for the proper functioning of the website. These cookies are installed in particular to remember login sessions or information entered into forms, as well as for purposes related to setting privacy options.
• The legal basis for the processing of data in connection with the use of necessary cookies is the necessity of processing for the performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• If the User wishes to obtain more information about individual cookies in this category, including the names of individual cookies, a description of their operation, their validity period and their origin, the User should click the “Cookie Preferences” button or a button with equivalent wording available in the footer of every subpage of the Website. Once the cookie banner appears, the User should click on the selected category of cookies.
2. Functional and analytical cookies
• Functional cookies are used to remember and adapt the Website to the User’s choices, including language preferences. Functional cookies may be installed by the Controller and its partners through the Website.
• Analytical cookies enable information to be obtained, such as the number of visits and traffic sources on the Website. They are used to determine which pages are more or less popular and to understand how Users navigate the Website by compiling statistics on Website traffic. Data is processed in order to improve the performance of the Website. The information collected by these cookies is aggregated and is therefore not intended to identify you. Analytical cookies may be installed by the Controller and its partners through the Website.
• The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data in connection with the use of functional and analytical cookies by the Controller is its legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), consisting in ensuring the highest quality of services provided through the Website, in connection with the User’s consent to their storage (separate consent for analytical cookies and separate consent for functional cookies).
• The processing of Personal Data in connection with the use of functional and analytical cookies is subject to the User’s consent to the use of functional and analytical cookies separately through the cookie consent management platform. Such consent may be withdrawn at any time through this platform.
• If the User wishes to obtain more information about individual cookies in these categories, including the names of individual cookies, a description of their operation, their validity period and their origin, the User should click “Cookie Preferences” with the cookie icon or a button with equivalent wording available in the footer of every subpage of the Website. Advertising cookies may be installed by the Controller and its partners through our Website.
• Social media cookies may also be installed as part of advertising cookies. These cookies are installed by the Controller’s partners in order to tailor the advertising content displayed on social media platforms used by the User. Based on information from these cookies and activity on other websites or social media platforms, an interest profile is created. This allows the displayed content to be tailored to individual needs. Social media cookies do not directly store personal data, but identify the web browser and device. If the User does not allow the use of these cookies, the Controller will not be able to prevent the same advertisement from being displayed or enable the User to like and share content published by the Controller on social media.
• The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data in connection with the use of advertising cookies by the Controller is its legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), consisting in promoting the Controller’s brand and informing Users about the Controller’s current offering, including by providing Website Users with marketing information corresponding to their interests, in connection with the User’s consent to the storage of advertising cookies.

4. Analytical and marketing tools used by the Controller’s partners
The Controller and its Partners use various solutions and tools for analytical and marketing purposes. Below you will find basic information about these tools. Detailed information in this regard can be found in the privacy policy of the respective partner.
Google Analytics
The Controller uses Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to analyse how Users use the Website, create statistics and optimise marketing activities. As part of the standard use of analytical services, the tool provider acts on behalf of the Controller and acts as a data processor.
The Controller also uses the Google Signals extension. Technically, this functionality works by combining information about a User’s activity on the Website with information from logged-in Google Account users who have consented to personalised advertising in their Google Account settings.
Linking this data with pseudonymised profiles makes it possible to track User behaviour across different devices (cross-device tracking), create demographic reports and create audiences for remarketing purposes.
Enabling Google Signals, sharing data for the provider’s own purposes under the data-sharing settings, or integrating the service with advertising systems means that the Controller and Google Ireland Limited become independent controllers, each independently determining the purposes and means of processing information.
This relationship and the data protection rules are governed by the “Google Measurement Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms”, available at:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9012600?hl=en&sjid=3645508299412415852-EU.
The data is processed in the form of pseudonymised identifiers, and the Controller does not take measures aimed at identifying specific natural persons.
General information about the scope and principles of data collection by the provider is available at:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=en.
Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a tool for managing scripts on a website. It can be used to install various types of scripts on a website, including scripts related to consents given by the User, scripts tracking User behaviour through analytical tools such as Google Analytics, and conversion tracking scripts from advertising systems such as Google Ads.
In connection with the use of the tool, Google collects aggregated data concerning the execution of these scripts without the ability to identify a specific User.
Detailed information about the scope and principles of data collection in connection with this service can be found at:
https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/tag-manager/.
Google Ads
Google Ads is a tool that enables the Controller to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns conducted by the Controller, allowing for the analysis of data such as keywords and the number of unique Users.
Google Ads also enables effective advertising campaigns, for example through advertisements tailored to Users’ interests, including interests related to the Website.
The Google Ads platform also allows our advertisements to be displayed to people who have previously visited the Website.
Information about data processing by Google in connection with the above service is available at:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=en.
Youtube
The Controller uses YouTube on the Website to analyse and collect statistics concerning the playback of video content embedded in the Website and originating from the YouTube platform.
The use of this tool results in the processing of the User’s personal data through cookies provided by YouTube, provided that the User visiting the Website has consented to their installation.

Meta Pixel
Meta Pixel is a tool used on the Website that enables the Controller to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns conducted by the Controller, optimise them and build audiences for these campaigns based on activity on the Website.
It also allows the Controller to analyse which Users visited the Website after previously being shown an advertisement on Facebook or Instagram. This may help the Controller target advertisements to audiences potentially interested in the Controller’s products or services (retargeting).
With regard to personal data processed using this tool, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, based in Ireland, acts jointly with the Controller as a joint controller of personal data.
Users’ personal data is processed by the joint controllers for measurement and analytical purposes within the Website.
The Controller and Meta have entered into joint arrangements in this regard, which can be found at:
